A news article on the Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRA) workshop in the Mediterranean and Black Sea was featured in Euro Weekly News. This article highlights the ISRAs delineated in as a result of the workshop and interviews some of the contributors to the ISRA project.

A new podcast available online by Onda Regional invites María Pozo Montoro to discuss the Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRA) project. Her and her team supported the delineation of two ISRAs, one of which is located in between San Pedro del Pinatar and the Calblanque Regional Park, and the other in the vicinity of Cabo de Palos.

Following the international committee of experts from the IUCN confirming 65 areas as Important Shark and Ray Areas (ISRA). This article published in Diario de Alicante spotlights two ISRAs between the coast of Alicante and Murcia.

The ISRA zone projects on the coast of the Central and Southern America region have passed a first evaluation; the final decision was made in August 2023. This article highlighted the ISRAs in the region on ​La Verdad.
